  1. It is so good to see this blog as I used to follow the Camelbirder link in the days of old. I am not a resident but I have visited the North Cornish coast and the Padstow area every year without exception. Keep up the good work.

    Kind Regards

    1. Hi Tony,

Glad you like this new blog. Hopefully I will be able to add new pages in the coming months detailing past occurrences of the birds noted in the wonderful area.

      Best wishes,

      Derek (Camelbirder)

      1. Derek, I had a doubtful , ‘pish’ from your site/email today. Don’t know if you can do anything about it, Check your news regularly but i don’t ‘do’ facebook. Roy Phillips.

  3. Hello Camlebirder

You have a very nice picture of a colour-ringed Curlew on your website. Do you have details of where the bird was rtinged? We have been colour-ringing Curlews on the Severn Estuary in Gloucestershire for some years now. Your bird is not one of ours but looks very like birds ringed on the breeding ground in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. Would be very interested to know about the origins of your bird, and if you don’t know, we can put you in touch with the German ringer.

    Best regards
