This bird has been noted in the Treraven Meadow area of the Camel Estuary from 13th January 2016 until 11th February at least. The bird was ringed in the Ythan area of Scotland but no further information has been received so far.
Green RE61 was noted at Wadebridge on 23rd January 2016 by C Selway. This bird was ringed in at Lanchères,Maison de l’Oiseau, Somme, FRANCE on the 24th June 2014 as a pullus. Colin Selway saw and photographed a large Great Black-backed Gull hybrid on the Amble Marshes on 8th February 2016. The birds was with Great Black-backed Gulls and was the same size and structure but was easy to pick out due to a slightly shorter, bright yellow/orange bill and yellow legs.

The Cormorant was ringed as a nestling by G Debout at Ile de Terre, Iles Saint-Marcouf, Normandy, France on 24-5-15 and seen by C Selway on 2-12-15 in the mouth of the Camel Estuary. This is apparently only the second none British ringed Cormorant recorded in Cornwall.
A breeding resident, passage migrant and winter visitor. Small colonies can be found on Gulland and Mouls Islands. Colour ringed Great Cormorant from France on the Camel Estuary.
Very rare vagrant; only a single record. 2007 – 1 over Glen Road, Wadebridge on 12th June.
