Trebetherick area

The area at the mouth of the Camel Estuary. Viewing is easiest from the eastern shore, parking at either Polzeath Beach, (SW928776), or Daymer Bay, (SW936789), and walking along the coast path. From the western shore the best viewing area is just south of Stepper Point. (Please note there is no parking at Hawker’s Cove).

Old Town Cove

Situated in the middle of the Camel Estuary, this area is favoured by Oystercatchers, Greenshank and loathing gulls. Ospreys are often watched feeding in this area during passage periods. Best viewed from the Camel Trail, parking at Old Town Cove Car Park, at SW939738. © Camelbirder 2012
